THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!

Thank You For Being Here is a spiral-bound swatch book made to test out the interaction between oscillating patterns and colors through the lens of a five-petal flower motif. This book invites its viewers into an obsession-driven and colorful world. In contemporary society, even a second of someone’s attention feels like a lot. I thank those who flip these pages for being “here,” for providing their time towards interacting with my work.

By employing the visual neuroscience responsible for isoluminance and afterimage effects, I aim to “burn” the flower into ones resting eyes, creating what I hope to be a playful, if not memorable, visual experience.

Purchased by the library at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in 2022.
